This is just the start of a thread. I'm going to let ThatWeirdGirl tell the story, cause I've told it several times already. Besides, she geeked out over a lot more than I did. Which is not to say that I didn't hop in circles much the same as she did...

But, you all deserve to know, and TWG will tell you...

Here's a little bit of art that Mr. Hughes has done. It might help the story along. TWG and I have a copy of this print signed by Adam Hughes, but how we got it, and at what price is the meat of the story.

I'll leave her to it...

Without further ado...

...I very much wanted to visit Adam Hughes as I am a fan of his Wonder Woman art. I don’t know why I never realized he did the trade paperback cover too...duh, not bright sometimes. Anyway, It was Saturday, the day we were all in costume, when we made it by the table. I was Kaylee, Samurai was Simon, Lissa was River...but we had lost Lissa, oops...I think Ath had her...or maybe Ash...

...A conversation of Whedon and Wonder Woman began, compliments of costumes were made, and a great desire for the lovely numbered print began to build. Samurai left to find a pot of gold, I stayed to bother, er, talk with Adam. We talked of all kinds of things...he's very nice. When Samurai returned, Mr. Hughes made a very generous offer: pose for my camera and I'll give you this print. Whoa. Yeah! So we did as he asked and became his anonymous models, took pictures, made faces, let the light hit us in strange ways so he would have a point of reference if he ever needed it. We shook hands, smiled, did the Snoopy dance, and left Mr. Adam Hughes to talk with his many fans…

...it was soooooo cool!

Perhaps the mention of the costumes we were wearing will point you in the right direction as to what the subject of the work we were posing for will be...

Perhaps it couldn't hurt to mention the things he told us before he asked us to pose for him...

Another three comic books. No title yet. Written by Joss Whedon. Hughes will do all three covers.

That's about it. We know a little more. But, we were sworn to secrecy at that point.
