If you aren't watching this show, you're missing something. Since it came back after the strike, the show has lacked a bit. But, it's picked up again, and in a big way.

There's the mystery of Sam's contract with the devil (Played by the very charming yet sinister Ray Wise...he alone is worth watching the show). There's the demon rebellion led by the gay demon Tony (who's lover was killed by Satan when Sam accidentally doublecrossed them), there's the devil's growing consternation that he can't seem to corrupt Sam...and, the new twist...Who's Sam's real father?

There's a lot going on in this show. Tyler Labine, who plays Sock is simply comic relief of the highest nature. Ben's green card marriage played out nicely, and looks to be something that might get added onto at a later date, and Sam's relationship with his girlfriend has added something to the show that I actually thought would detract from it. I know some of you have watched the show and dismissed it, but you really should give it a second chance.

Of note is that the show is a spot of jeopardy, and perhaps the producers have pulled out all the stops in case they get cancelled. I sincerely hope this doesn't happen (Fuck you, Gossip Girl, which has already been picked up) Also of note is this shows ability to leave something hanging that you might have simply forgotten about, but which turns out to be quite important. There's some decent writing going on!

And, one aspect about the show that they've stuck to and I adore is that Sam is the only human who can see the devil. They've stuck by that (And the devil even warned Sam that it's dangerous to have his friends on Satan's radar).

What I'd like to see is Sam run into another Reaper.

But, yes...Reaper. Give it a chance. I don't think you'll be sorry.
